BURN PERMITS
Burn permits may be obtained by using the following link:
Requirements for a brush/lumber pile less than 10' x 10':
- At least (1) adult MUST be present at all times
- Charged garden hose or two 5-gallon buckets of water
- (1) shovel or rake
- Pile must be at least 50 feet away from any structure
- Requirements for a grass fire of less than 1 acre:
- A minimum of (2) adults must be present at all times
- Charged garden hose or (2) 5-gallon buckets of water
- (2) shovels AND (2) rakes
Anything larger than the two specified above would need to be approved by the
Fire Department (207) 563-2433 or the Officer on Duty (207) 682-8108
